Night Life in Barcelona is rather interesting. It starts very late (usually after midnight) and it goes on until 4, 5, or 6 in the morning. Getting into the hot places can be tricky. Those establishments catering to a young crowd usually have security people at the door whose function is to allow in only those patrons who fit certain image. You would be well advised to discuss your plans with the concierge at your hotel to avoid disappointments. Also, many of these places change character. They are in one day and out the next.
